Overview

The CERT Program at Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute, in collaboration with the School of Computer Science, CyLab and the Institute for Software Research, hostedthe 2009 CERT Technical Symposium, Security Challenges in an Evolving World

This symposium commemorated CERT's 20th year of operation. We were honored to be able to bring together influential leaders from industry, government, and academia in order to look toward the challenges the cybersecurity community will face in the future. Over 170 invited attendees joined us to discuss emerging computing models, evolving threats, and new potential vulnerabilities. The symposium's agenda, and the preeminent speakers came together in a variety of sessions that informed, challenged and engaged the attendees.

If you were invited, you were one of the people who can make a difference. If you were able to attend, your participation in the conversation was appreciated. It was the combination of excellent speakers and an interested audience that made this symposium valuable to all.

The summary of the symposium proceedings and the slides used by speakers and panelists are now available for download.
