The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)

The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is an international organization concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet.

The IETF offers a variety of technical papers and reports, such as "best current practices" documents and "Internet standards" documents available either through their RFC Editor Web page or their FTP site .
